In the last day, we slowed down our hectic pace from the last 3 day. We choose to go Lantau Island (aka Lantau Peak/大屿山) to visit the well-known gigantic Buddha statue (天坛大佛). First, you need to take subway to Tung Chung station (東薈) and head to B exit. Since it is an island, there are few opts to go there. You can either take cable car (recommended) or take bus. Personally I would suggest to take the gondola. Simply because you will get an amazing view during the trip. If you want more spectacular ride, you could pay for a crystal cabin where there is a glass underneath your foot and you could see the valley below of the gondola. Unfortunately, the cable car service (Ngong Ping 360/昂坪纜車之旅 ) is closed for maintenance during the day visit. Hop on the Bus no 23 and remember pay the fare when you boarding the bus.

Finally we are arrived the destination. It was a sunny day out there. In order to meet with giant Buddha, one has to climb a long staircase up. It is totally worth to reach the top to view the Lantau Island in wide. We took plenty of photos here.

With joy and memorial, we leave the "pearl of the orient" after the dinner. Hong Kong is a modern, high density population busy city. In my feeling, it did not etch deeply in my memory as I came from the similar country, Singapore. Anyway, I grew from the shadow of Hong Kong movie and drama, and it explicitly portrait the life of Hong Kong from the footprint I walk through.
